“As we understand aging better, we also understand the environment’s interaction with our genetics in this process. Genomic testing and a personalized lifestyle program can delay or prevent disease to optimize a person’s quality of life as they get older”.
Testing your genetic biomarkers for polymorphisms (aberrations) can help you and your physician identify areas in your genome where you have a higher disease susceptibility and enable the creation of personalized prevention protocols.
Genomic testing can also help identify abnormalities of metabolism and detoxification, which may be contributing to poor health and current health issues. Many of these defects can be functionally improved or corrected through the use of orthomolecular medicine or single nutrients which can bolster the function of defective enzymes and correct those metabolic pathways
Not only can bio-identical hormones be used to treat various symptoms of menopause and andropause, they can also significantly improve quality of life as we age. For many, natural forms of estrogen, progesterone, DHEA, pregnenolone or testosterone can restore a person’s sense of well-being.
We also provide Sermorelin therapy, a Growth Hormone (GH) precursor, for maintaining lean muscle mass, better fat burning, better energy, better sleep, and a sense of well being . For patients with low GH (often tested by IGF-1 levels), this can help restore healthy levels and decrease unpleasant symptoms.
Advanced Cardio-metabolic Testing
We use Singulex Labs to identify small molecules, inflammation markers, genetic biomarkers, and metabolic markers that can give a much deeper insight into a patient’s risk for cardiovascular events.
Many patients wish to look as young as they feel. For aesthetics, we offer Botox, Dermal Fillers, Cosmopen micro-needling, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Lipo-dissolve injections.
Botox: This is an injection treatment that decreases the appearance of dynamic wrinkles by temporary muscle relaxation.
Dermal Filler: Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, such as Juvederm, are used to fill in areas of the face that lose structural fat as we age, or to smooth out deep lines. Examples of areas that can be treated are the cheeks, lips, and nasolabial folds (laugh lines).
Cosmopen microneedling: This treatment uses an electric pen with 12 oscillating micro-needles that gently penetrate the skin causing a healing reaction that forces growth factors and stem cells to the area giving a rejuvenating effect to the collagen of the face. It is great for scars and poor skin texture.
Platelet Rich Plasma: PRP can be used to directly stimulate stem cell migration to the collagen of the face. PRP is often used in conjunction with Botox and dermal filler for a combination of aesthetic improvement by filling and wrinkle reduction along with the rejuvenating effects of the PRP.
Lipo-Dissolve Injections: These are “spot fat” treatments that entail injections of a natural fat dissolving agent (phosphotidyl choline/ deoxycholic acid), into trouble areas, such as outer hips, inner thighs, “love handles”, belly, under the chin, below the bra line and behind the arms, where troublesome spot fat accumulations can occur. The treatment involves a series of 4 weekly injection treatments.
