Dr. Katie Nuckolls graduated from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2013. She specializes in the treatment of autoimmune disease, digestive disturbances, and mental illnesses including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. She also treats patients with allergies, asthma, hormonal imbalances, and developmental disorders like ADHD and autism.
Dr. Katie’s passion for treating autoimmune disease began when she was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune conditions in her early 20’s. When conventional physicians told her that these diseases and their accompanying symptoms were permanent, she refused to accept it. After considerable research, she began treatment with a local naturopathic doctor. As her body began to heal, she knew she had found her passion and her ultimate purpose – to help others just the way that her naturopathic doctor had helped her.
During her medical training, she had the unique experience of learning the principles of naturopathic medicine from some of the most highly trained doctors in the field while simultaneously using these methods to further her own personal healing process. This dual-level training allowed her to learn at a deeper level as she experienced the results of each modality first-hand.
As her training progressed, Dr. Katie focused intensely on learning and mastering the treatments that were most effective in helping her – the most influential of those being constitutional homeopathy. She studied and trained with some of the best homeopathic physicians in the country, and today homeopathic medicine is the primary treatment for every patient that comes through her door.
Besides homeopathy, Dr. Katie frequently uses botanical medicine, nutritional counseling, and bioidentical hormones in the treatment of her patients. She has also received additional training in CranioSacral therapy, Biolinguistic Kinesiology, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her family and her two dogs.
